I've seen all kinds of wierd things happen, especially after a plugin has come out with upgrades, or wordpress has come out with a new release. Incompatibilities do wierd stuff like just not working at all, or causing urls to embed in the wrong places, such as the title header of a post thats being read. Shutting off plugins, and starting them up one by one, is pretty much the only way to troubleshoot, til you find the culprit.
I had no idea that the text that you copy can be formatted in such a way
to cause losing content when publishing. I to was going crazy for over a
month trying to find a solution to this problem and now I finally have the
issue fixed and know what to do now to prevent that from happening.
I had this happen to me before, and it had me baffled for quite some time, til I figured out that the document I was copying from, was not a text file like I thought it was.
Turns out it had some text formating that seemed to be incompatible with wordpress. Which explains why your solution solved the problem.
I did not type into the wordpress editor, I was copying and pasting
some articles that I found directly into the wordpress editor and I
would click the publish or update button and when the page re-
opened half of the article content was gone.
I never had any problems typing my content into the wordpress
iditor only when I copy and pasted.
Then this gentleman answered my plight in the wordpress problems
forum yesterday and suggested that I first copy and paste my article

I see. So before You have written the content in some text editor and then pasted the text to wordpress editor and after that some of content was lost? Or You writetten and edited the content directly in wordpress editor? Just trying to understand this ...
Well I got some feedback from wordpress forum and it
was recommended that I first copy and paste my content
into microsoft word and then into the wordpress editor
and it worked the very first time......whooooo :>)
I want to thank you and everyone for your help on this
matter.
I just spoke to a GDI Tech and they went through the blog
and now they are telling me the problem is in the content
itself that is causing me to lose content when I publish or
update the post...Do you have any idea of what in a post
could cause one to lose half of their post, I have no idea
at all.
Hi Al, You said; "Someone said that it may be in my theme, but I never had
a problem with my theme since I have had my blog and that
has been for some time now." Remember that just updated and the theme could become buggy as the author may not have updated to be compatible with the new WP Platform.. May I suggest contacting your theme's help documents, author or even the themes forum and post the question there. You can test this theory by installing the new 2013 theme from wordpress and activat
I added the plugin and clicked the optimize button, I did not
see much happen when I did, the page kinda blinked a bit
and that was it. Nothing said it had been optimized or any-
thing like that. If it did work it did not stop my issue of part
of my blog post being lost, I tried it right after and it still did
the same thing.
I have a question though, it said to upload the plugin to my
Admin plugin area but i uploaded it like I always do, so do
you think that may be the problem why i

Hi Bless C.
The thing is if you do not find and fix what ever is causing
you to lose part of your post content then you will not be
able to make blog posts. :>)

I have not tried it yet. If my blog disappears, I just don't mind it 'coz I don't know how to fix too. I don't know if that's what you meant.
