Any sport, and extreme sports, in particular, is
associated with increased danger and injuries, and there is nothing to dive
into the water without knowing the ford, as popular wisdom says otherwise,
instead of adrenaline and a sense of freedom, you can get injuries and
psychological complexes for life. According to Forbes, the three most dangerous
sports look like this:
-
Base jumping - parachuting from the
roofs of buildings, bridges, etc.
-
Heliskiing is a bit like freeriding.
Descent from unpredictable mountain slopes.
-
Diving - scuba diving.
But, despite the obvious health risk, hundreds of
people every year become adherents of extreme sports. Is it really that people
began to think so massively about a healthy lifestyle or outdoor activities,
and is there any use in skydiving, for example? As always, everyone comes to sports on different
roads:
1. Thirst for risk, adrenaline rush -
the most common reason. With that crazy rhythm of life in which we live, we
just need a shake-up, a sharp change in sensations. For those who stayed in the
office or in the student audience, when everyday life turns into a continuous
routine, thrills are sometimes simply necessary. Although psychologists say
that the release of adrenaline for the body is even more stress than any
everyday problems, and therefore, there is no benefit in it. However, nothing
can replace this bright burst of emotions and this storm of sensations.
2. Feeling of freedom. When you get on
skis and rush from the mountain, scuba dive into the depths of the sea or just
get on your bike and go for a ride along the river, you are completely immersed
in yourself. You can finally ignore everyday life and just dream, enjoy the
sun, nature and feel that life is beautiful! Around only you, and no one else.
There are no annoying customers at work, no home repairs, no other problems
exist: only you and the feeling of freedom. As a rule, a few hours of such a change
of scenery is enough for a whole working week.
3. The ability to throw out negative emotions.
You can, of course, throw them out and in a different way, for example, go to
the pool or just take a walk in the park. But, while walking in the park, one often
fails to abstract from negative emotions and distract from problems. In extreme
sports, concentration and concentration are necessary, which allows you to push
all other thoughts into the background.
4. 4. Improving
your own self-esteem and gaining self-confidence. The self-esteem of many of us
leaves much to be desired, moreover, in our environment there are always those
who want to lower it below the plinth, and above all - in our own eyes.
Therefore, it is always nice to realize that you can do a lot, and first of all
to prove it to yourself, overcoming fear and having a ride with the breeze from
the hill on a snowboard.
5. The desire to be in trend. It is
difficult to stay away when one of your friends uploads a photo of skiing to a
social network, a work colleague tells how they went kayaking with the whole
family, and the media constantly advertise bicycles, videos, etc. Extreme
sports are fashionable and even prestigious. It is for this reason that many successful,
already held people are mastering skiing.
6. 6. Thirst for new sensations and
impressions. When life and technology provide so many opportunities, it becomes
more and more difficult to be surprised at something. Really, who can be
surprised just by skating? But street-lagging (a kind of skateboarding, descent
on a board, lying down, on a sloping road), parkour is something new, not
widespread, and therefore interesting.
