What is an AME apprenticeship?
The regulatory guidelines issued for the AME universities approved by the DGCA in India prescribe.
- Completion of AME syllabus in the respective category of training and approval of module examinations conducted by DGCA.
- 2 years of proven work experience.
Before proceeding with an apprenticeship, a candidate must obtain AME Admission in universities offering AME Courses. The best AME universities in India generally give AME Entrance Exams as they have limited seats to offer in various categories of aircraft maintenance training. After selection, interested candidates can enroll in AME Universities in Delhi or elsewhere during the counseling session and after approval of the AME fee structure specified for the said institute.
Registered work experience or apprenticeship is a mandatory requirement that a candidate must demonstrate after completing the best college for AME basic training. This learning can be determined by submitting a formal application to an airline operator or maintenance organization, which in turn conducts an interview to assess a candidate's ability. Work experience may be gained in suspension environments where maintenance activity typically occurs or in office environments where planning, maintenance schedules, and other related activities take place.
