Attracts Tourists To Hervey Bay

A coastal town situated 300 kilometres away from the northern part of Brisbane, Hervey Bay comprises five suburbs - Pialba, Point Vernon, Scarness, Urangan and Torquay. The entire suburban town is stretched along a coastline of 10 kilometres, providing a perfect spot for fishing, swimming and various other water sports.

So what is it that attracts tourists to Hervey Bay the most? Is it the fantastic fishing opportunities that provide a heaven to anglers? Or the amazing and exotic environment of the region? The answer to these questions lies here:

Humpback Whales

These majestic whales from the Antarctic region usually come to breed in the crystal clear and warmer waters of eastern and western Australia from July to November, and find Hervey Bay a perfect place to halt and rest. Various whale watching tours are organised for enthusiastic tourists wanting to see the magnificent mammals.

Tin Can Bay

Tin Can Bay is also a very popular place where one can transform his or her floating dreams into reality by hiring a houseboat and cruising leisurely in the waters of the Great Sandy Straits. No other way is better to navigate the Great Sandy Straits than sailing through its waters in a houseboat and relaxing with everything close at hand.

The Esplanade

With a picturesque foreshore having great cycle and walking paths, play areas and picnic spots, the Esplanade offers a serene experience to visitors. The place also has a marina consisting a variety of shops and cafes, and entrance to a botanical gardens.

Urangan Boat Harbour

This place is the meeting point of various aquatic activities in Hervey Bay, including whale watching tours, fishing charters, barge en route to Fraser Island and passenger ferries. The place is dotted with cafes and restaurants, providing ideal spots for relaxing and enjoying the wonderful sceneries.

Holiday Apartments

Hervey Bay holiday apartments excel in providing exemplary accommodation in the whole of Queensland. Most of them have facilities as swimming pools, beautiful landscaped gardens, barbeque areas, undercover parking, spacious play areas and provisions for whale watching tours.

Of course, the above mentioned are not all and there are plenty of other attractions for tourists in Hervey Bay, including the Fraser Island. Many travellers do not miss the chance of visiting the largest sand island in the world during their stay in this breathtakingly beautiful land.
