Varun Patra and his sister Varsha founded the “Homegrown” for presenting a proper picture of Indian youth culture. “Homegrown” is fast turning out to be the most influential digital platform in the country. It always remains at the forefront due to its creativity and is ready to become the digital face for Indians. Once again; the target beneficiaries are the youth mass in the country.

Varun Patra Homegrown has created a trail of very successful achievements in a short span of only six years. Over this period he has organized over a hundred campaigns for many top brands. Some of the notable organizations served by Patra and his creation are Nike, Bacardi, Audi, UNICEF, and British Council among others. These events have been very successful in ensuring global investments supporting the young entrepreneurs and also those involved in creative activities.

Influencing the Future Economy

Besides founding the digital platform in form of the “Homegrown”, Varun also runs an NGO named the Lokal Consortium. This organization headed by the Homegrown founder targets to create an impact on the urban people by organizing cultural civic projects. The projects have taken up focus on –Urban regeneration.

Incidentally; the first initiative of the NGO was to bring the Versova District of Mumbai at par with the UN SDG targets.

Campaigns for Awareness Generation

With dedication; Varun Patra has been investing his time and resources in awareness generation across the country. He has already organized more than 30 workshops for this purpose. The workshops and keynotes have been delivered in different universities, summits, conferences, as well as in branding sessions.
