Lubricants to Avoid
If you're dealing with vaginal dryness, avoid lubricants labeled as warming, cooling, or stimulating. These often contain ingredients that can irritate and worsen vaginal dryness. Also, steer clear of lubricants with ingredients like nonoxynol and PEGs (PEG 90M, Polyethylene glycol, and Polyoxyethylene). PEGs have high osmolality levels, which can cause skin dryness and irritation, while nonoxynol-9 can be harsh on the delicate vaginal tissues.
