Image Email marketing is one of the most commonly employed strategies of customer services. It is cost effective, reduces time and effort and helps in increasing customer satisfaction rates. However, making it an effective strategy is something many organizations are struggling with, these days. Either the customers ignore the emails you send them or they delete it because they think it is a spam message. In order to devise the perfect email marketing strategy, it is important that you keep two key factors in mind: first, your mail should not appear as a junk and second, it should be captivating enough to convince the prospective customers. Here are three ways through which you can make email marketing work:

Sending Emails on Weekends

In order to make your customers read your emails, you have to send them the mails at the time during which they will actually read it. Instead of sending customers emails in the afternoon or weekdays, the best way is to email them during the weekend. The reason for this being, the number of emails an average person gets is lesser during the weekend. If you send customers emails during the weekdays, chances are that they will ignore your email because of other official emails that they receive. However, if you send them emails during the weekends, they will probably pay attention to them.

Segment Customers and Mail Them Accordingly

Customer segmentation is really important before devising any marketing strategy. Treating all of your customers in a similar manner is a big no-no in the world of marketing. If you want to grasp the attention of your customers, send them the emails which contain information that you know would interest them. All you need to do is to open up you customers’ and visitors’ data. After that, you can either segment the customers based on the kind of pages they have visited or the products they have brought. You can also divide them on the basis of their hometown and native market trends. Emails that market products specific to the needs of the customers ensure customer satisfaction. If you have an online store, an excellent strategy would be to email those customers who abandon their carts during shopping. Your customer service representatives can email such customers reminding them of the products they forgot to buy along with marketing other products.

Make Your Email Concise and Compelling

Writing short, concise and to the point emails which grasp the attention of customers more than the lengthy and rambling emails. Instead of writing long paragraphs, write your message in bullet points so that customers get a clear idea of what you are saying. Add-in interesting phrases, analogies along with attractive photos and designs. Using the right kind of words, which keep the customers engaged, is also very important. If your email is boring, customers will skip through it and will eventually lose interest. Also, make sure that the subject or the title of the email is captivating enough to grasp the customer’s attention.

Email marketing can help boosting your customer service and increase the rates of customer satisfaction only if its strategy is well constructed. The above mentioned strategies can make email marketing an effective way to market your products.
