  • Choose 'Network Type.'

  • Hit on "Add" and then add the files "IBUenghost.exe" and "IntuitDataProtect.exe."

Fix 3: Incorporate IDP in the Trusted Websites

  • Click on the "Start" button. 

  • Tap on "Internet Options."

  • Click on Security.

  • Go to Trusted Sites.

  • Advance to Sites and type backup.com, *.intuit.net, *.intuitdataprotect.com, *.intuit.com, *.QuickBooks.com, and "workplace.intuit.com" one at a time.

  • Then click on the Add button.

  • Make sure that the 'Require Server Verification' box is not checked.

  • Click Close, then hit on Ok

Fix 4: Run Data Protect Diagnostic Tool

  • Right-click on the IDP button.

  • Click on "About Intuit Data Protect."

  • Now, press the Ctrl and F2 keys together.

  • Hit on "Check for Problems".

Fix 5: Incorporate Data Protection to the Startup list

  • Hold the "Win+R" keys down to open the Run Window.

  • In the Run box, type "MSConfig."

  • Go to the Startup tab and check that all of the QuickBooks services are running.

  • Click "Apply" and then hit on "Ok."
