Shipping Ministry Saying in a Statement

With pomp and show, the cargo handling growth among a number of major Indian ports is going on very rapidly. It is expected that the port’s capacity of the all major Indian ports may be less to have the cargo, and cargo growth is very much to handle. In coming days, it would be too difficult to handle the cargo growth in the ports. There are being planned to transport the cargo from one port to another port so that the cargo increase may be less than before. But, the Paradip Port is on fire to make the record cargo handling 8.06 in July 2016. It has surpassed the previous record, when it had the cargo’s growth 7.61 million tone in month of March 2016, According to Shipping Ministry. It further said it is expected that the cargo growth will jump beyond 10 million tone in coming months.

How the Growth was Increased?

There are plenty of things that has participated, and paid full character to lift the extent of cargo’s growth of Paradip Port. 8 lakh tone of POL, 6 lakh tones of coking coal, 6 lakh tone of lime stone and dolomite came into the Paradip Port.
