OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X price drops, OnePlus 3 coming on June 14
OnePlus mobile announced in a community forum post this morning that it will sell all of its current phones at ‘new prices’. That means the OnePlus One, OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X will all be cheaper than they have been, almost certainly because a new phone is about to be launched by the ambitious Chinese startup.
The part of you that sees good in everyone and everything is telling your mind that OnePlus cut prices so that more people in the world can afford their phones. The dark side of you, which manifests as that devil on your shoulder, is telling you that OnePlus is simply trying to move product and lower inventory just before it unveils the OnePlus 3, which is rumored to take place on June 14th. Once again, OnePlus will be using VR to introduce its new flagship, but this time you will be able to buy the new model from a virtual shop.
OnePlus 3 come with a 5.5-inch full-HD 1080p display powered a Snapdragon 820 SoC, and a 16-megapixel rear camera. Blass also tips that OnePlus would reintroduce NFC which was a major dropped feature in OnePlus 2 which lead to many users including myself to drop out of plans of purchasing one. Separately, a OnePlus customer service representative reportedly let it slip in a live chat that the OnePlus 3 launch event would happen on June 14 which just falls in line with the announced Q2 launch. The employee also confirmed that, even though the event is in VR, users will be able to watch it without a headset as well. OnePlus has confirmed that it will launch the OnePlus 3 on a VR space station. It even made available 30,000 Loop VR headsets, which were sold out in no time.
Discounts are available in other regions too, but vary depending on where you are, for instance, the OnePlus 2 is still £249 like it has been since March. If you’re interested, and want to take advantage of the price drop, head on over to Gizok.com.
