Halloween holidays are perfect to bond over with family and friends. You might not be able to attend or host Halloween theme parties like always because of the pandemic, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get along with friends and family during the spooky Halloween season. Since we all are trying to have huge gatherings this year, Netflix serves as the best source of entertainment. You can organize cozy Halloween-Netflix watch parties to enjoy the feast with the bonfire alongside to frighten away evil spirits. That said, Netflix has a fantastic library of mysteriously sinister movies that you can watch to feel those Halloween vibes. So here is a list of Halloween movies on Netflix that will get you hyped for the holiday.


The Addams Family

The Addams Family is a supernatural black comedy film, featuring a bizarre, grotesque, aristocratic family of Morticia and Gomez Addams, and their kids Wednesday and Pugsley. This kooky family reconnects with Fester Adams, who claims to be a long-lost brother of Gomez. Adams clan is overjoyed to have Fester back in the beginning, but soon Morticia begins suspecting Fester Addams, who then, turns out to be the adopted son of a loan shark aiming to trick the Addams out of their vast wealth and fortune.

But when things don’t add up, Morticia begins suspecting Fester might not be who he claims. The 1991 black comedy film stars Anjelica Huston, Christopher Lloyd, Raul Julia, Christina Ricci, Judith Malina, and Jimmy Workman.

The Evil Dead

There can’t be any better movie than The Evil Dead to watch during Halloween. It is an American supernatural horror film following five college students who go on vacation in a deserted cabin in remote woods. On this adventure camping, they discover an audiotape, which reawakens the demons and spirits after playing it. With the will of fighting off the evil spirits, four members of the group suffer from demonic possession, leaving the fifth to survive after the bloodbath among his friends and the Deadites. The movie stars Bruce Campbell, Ellen Sandweiss, and Sam Raimi.

Sleepy Hollow

The award-winning 1999s Sleepy Hollow is based on the 1820s short story “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. ” The story features a police constable Ichabod Crane (played by Johnny Depp) from New York City. She is sent to the village of Sleepy Hollow to investigate a series of murders reported. But soon, Ichabod discovers that a mysterious Headless Horseman is behind all the murders. The horror movie stars Johnny Depp, Christopher Walken, and Christina Ricci.

Insidious: The Last Key

Insidious: The last key is a supernatural horror movie starring Lin Shaye (as Elise Rainier), Angus Sampson, Leigh Whannell, Spencer Locke, Caitlin Gerard, and Bruce Davison. The plot follows Elise Rainier, who is a parapsychologist investigating a haunting in her childhood home, and her spirit is possessed by an evil entity. After desperate and fearful attempts, this evil entity refuses to leave Elise’s spirit, when her family takes drastic measures to save her and  her grandson, who is stuck in the spirit realm of “The Further.”

The Babysitter

A Netflix original film, The Babysitter is a teen horror-comedy starring Samara Weaving, Hana Mae Lee, Robbie Amell, Judah Lewis, and Bella Thorne. The story follows Cole (played by Judah Lewis), a 12-year-old boy, whose parents hire an attractive and cool babysitter named Bee (Samara Weaving).

One night, Cole gets up from his sleep to find Bee and several of her high school friends playing a vicious game of killing innocent people to collect their blood, revealing themselves as the members of a demonic cult. The story goes on with how Cole finds clever ways to take down each member of this evil cult. A sequel, The Babysitter: Killer Queen, has been available on Netflix from September 10, 2020.

Death Note

Death Note is a supernatural thriller film based on a Japanese manga series starring Nat Wolff, Lakeith Stanfield, Shea Whigham, Margaret Qualley, Paul Nakauchi, Willem Dafoe, and Jason Liles.

The story of Death Note follows an American high school student named Light Turner ( played by Nat Wolff), who comes across a mysterious notebook known as the “Death Note.” This devious notebook allows the boy to kill anyone just by writing their name on its pages.

Cult of Chucky

The slasher film, Cult of Chucky stars Brad Dourif as Chucky, with a supporting cast of Alex Vincent, Jennifer Tilly, Fiona Dourif, and Summer H. Howell. The movie follows the evil Chucky doll and Andy (played by Alex Vincent), who returns to claim his next victims with the still conscious and deformed head of Chucky.
