Mumbai Road named after Philanthropist Dayawati Modi

On 7th August 2018, a lane next to Sea Princess Hotel near Juhu Tara Road was named after the renowned philanthropist Late Smt. Dayawati Modi in honour of her exemplary social work towards the development of Modinagar city and her long drawn dedication towards uplifting the underprivileged.

Smt. Dayawati Modi is the mother of world-famous Philanthropist and ideologist Bhupendra Kumar Modi who has been dedicated to pushing the edge of the country towards innovative and futuristic approaches. Smt. Dayawati Modi, in her lifespan, contributed religiously towards the education sector and catering issues concerned with women and children. She has had some prestigious awards registered under her name, like the Shiromani award for Sikh studies and the Bharat Seva Ratna by World Religious Parliament.

Dayawati Modi was the wife esteemed Founder of the Modi Group, Late Sri Rai Bahadur Gujjarmal Modi Ji who introduced the country with evolutionary inventions and world-changing dynamics.

The road has been named Smt. Dayawati Modi Marg as a tribute towards her outstanding contribution in the welfare and education sector. The inauguration event for the road naming ceremony was graced by the founder of Kanoria Centre for Arts, Mrs. Urmila Kanoria. She has been working, unstinting in the field of Culture and Arts.

The Marg is next to Sea Princess Hotel in Mumbai and now holds an iconic significance. The inauguration was a peaceful event with Smt. Dayawati’s Son Mr. Bhupendra Kumar Modi, popularly known as Dr. M gracing the event.
