Mercedes Benz is already the biggest manufacturer of cars in the luxury segment in India, and has even inaugurated the biggest warehouse of parts in Pune in 2016.

• One of the top cars launched in India is the GLC SUV. Towards the end of September 2016, Mercedes Benz will launch an India-assembled (Pune) GLC SUV. This car has created quite a stir in the luxury SUV market in India. This GLC is a bridge between the GLE SUV (luxury) and the GLA. Some of its features include 4MATIC AWD (all-wheel driving capability), five driving modes, GLC 220d diesel engine, 170 hp power, 400 Nm optimal torque. The GLC 300 petrol engine variant has 245 hp power and 375 Nm peak torque. Both have a 9G-Tronic transmission.

• Another top class car that was unveiled by Mercedes Benz in India this year was the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43, the first car to be unveiled with a two-digit system of naming. The SLC 43 was launched to commemorate two decades of the SLK. So, in the line with the replacement of SLK, the SLC43 comes with an engine that is a 3.0-litre V6 bi-turbo. It generates 367 HP and 520 Nm torque.
