How To 3 Way Call
There's no scientific equation to calculate, when knowing how to 3 way call a business partner.
Yet, there are many that make it tougher than it really is, which is why I will break down my short definition of how to 3 way call someone for a business call. While building your business, it is good to do a 3 way call for a few reasons......- most people need to hear the voice of a 3rd party, before they can make a move on anything.
- if you're new to the company & someone has questions you have no idea of the answers to.
- though some are ready to join right away, they want to hear from someone other than you, that can break down the numbers better.
Here's my ideal way on how to 3 way call your business partner.......
(Of course, this is after the connection has been made. Out of respect, I'd suggest contacting the 3rd party person first and make sure they are available, before making the call.) I like to do my 3 way calls in 3 easy steps........- Introduce
- Edify
- Mute & SHUT UP :-)
Bill is the expert/3rd party
First: The Introduction You 1st want to introduce Jane to Bill. Always, always and yes always...introduce the prospect to the 3rd party. Bill has the answers and he will be the one handling the conversation. When you do the introduction, tell Bill a little bit about Jane....
- where she lives
- what kind of work she does
- is she new to this type of business
- your relationship to Jane
Second: Edify This is where you want to edify Bill to Jane. Set the table so that Jane knows more of Bill & why he's the expert. Speak about......
- a couple of his accomplishments
- how long he's been in the industry
- your relationship to Bill
3. MUTE & SHUT UP!!!
YES, just as I said it. When you've done the introduction and edification, turn the call over to Bill and let him do what you called him for...CLOSE THE DEAL! Do not be the one that wants to interrupt their conversation & be surprised if Bill hangs up the phone. Anything you have to say at this point is not important....Bill has it taken care of. Jane will ask Bill any and everything that's on her mind, and Bill will give her the answers to make a qualified decision. Make sure your phone is on mute, so that there is no distracting noise coming from your end, that may distract the call. Nothing like hearing a crying baby, barking dog or another conversation, when you're on the line with someone else. Being quiet also serves other purposes......
- you may learn things about the company that you never knew
- it gives you a bigger respect for the 3 way call process, as you will want when you're in Bill's position
- you will learn one of the biggest skills in business....listening
As long as you can do those 3 simple steps, you should have no problem when it comes to knowing how to 3 way call your business partner.
Much Success, Stay Blessed & Thanks For Stopping By. :-)
