When it comes to life or business decisions, are you an Emotional Jumper or do you take Strategic Moves?

What I mean by that is, do you make a moves every 30-90 days based on hearsay or fright....or do you strategically plan your future moves? From what I've seen, network marketers (using an area where I have a little bit of knowledge) :-) are one of two things...that being checker players or chess players. I gave my definition of a Jumper in a previous post, but I'll gladly clarify again. A Jumper (my version), is one that jumps from opportunity to opportunity, every 3 to 6 months...some even less than that. Some characteristics I've seen of Jumpers, are as follows
  • mostly make decisions based on their emotions.
  • follow others, whether they be successful or unsuccessful.
  • chase after the money.
  • make decisions based on hype and the thought of 'getting rich' overnight.
  • jump for the next 'sparkling colored' opportunity of the month.
  • etc.

You see Jumpers, just like checkers are basically just that....emotional Jumpers, not many strategic moves.

They really have no plan or strategy, but to get across the the other side quickly. There are no side movements in their planning and very rarely will a checkers player, sit and think before making a move. It's pretty much, hurry...move.....next game.

On the other hand, the chess player makes strategic moves.

Have you ever watched a chess game and noticed that they have these fancy timers on the side...everyone is quiet and they sometime take entirely too long for one move? It's called strategic planning and thinking for the next move. You see......a chess player thinks 2-5 moves ahead, so any and everything they do is critical and a reflection on that. Some characteristics I've noticed of Movers, are as follows,
  • see things completely different from others, ahead of the ball.
  • make methodical decisions behind the scenes.
  • realize that going to where the grass is greener, that they must also bring water, sunshine and gardening tools.
  • see the long term goals and not out for a 'quick fast start' check.
  • have more care & support of the people with and around them.
I think at some point we have been all Jumpers and we develop into being Movers, whether it be by experience or landing the right opportunity. Most of your Jumpers that don't develop, will be those that eventually quit, due to stress, or not making an adequate amount of money fast enough. A Mover knows the value of his next move and that he may not make a lot initially, but they are prone to stay because they have the patience and know the rules of the game. At the end of the day, as an emotional jumper or one that makes strategic moves, you have to do what's right for you and what helps you sleep better at night.

Much Success, Stay Blessed & Thanks For Stopping By. :-)
