Group mentor caching by ICF MCC mentor coach to elevate your coaching skills for credentialing
Group mentor coaching
is required by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) for applying to ACC
(Associate Certified Coach), PCC (Professional Certified Coach) and MCC (Master
Certified Coach) credentials, and for their renewal. 10-hour coaching is
mandatory for all these credentialing, that should be a combination of group
and personal one-on-one coaching.
Jennifer Powers is a
certified MCC coach with 16 years of coaching experience. She wrote the
best-selling book, Oh, shift! in 2009, followed by Good shift! How to
deal with the change before it deals with you in 2020. She started free
monthly Coach’s Power Hours, and founded the Powerhouse Coaching Club in 2021.
Jennifer lives in Portland with her husband and partner Mark Tucker, who is

Mentor
coaching in small groups for ICF credentialing
Jennifer Powers helps coaches
with the required group mentor coaching hours for applying or renewing for ACC,
PCC and MCC credentialing. She provides 10-hour mentor coaching for ICF
credentialing, out of which 7 hours will be group mentor coaching, while the
remaining 3 hours will be one-on-one coaching. This mixed format is developed
as per ICF guidelines. In group mentor coaching, the coaches get the chance to
coach and be coached by peers. They experience a unique group synergy which is
not possible with one-on-one mentor coaching. Moreover, group mentor coaching
helps in reducing the cost of coaching for the mentees as the costs are shared
among the participants. To ensure that personalized attention is provided to
each participant during the group mentor coaching, not more than 10
participants are allowed in each group.
Helping
you master the coaching process
The remaining 3 hours are
one-on-one coaching where Jennifer Powers provides highly focused and dedicated
feedback to the mentee on their strengths, and the areas of coaching
competencies that they need to improve upon. 10-hour mentor coaching is spread
over a period of three months to ensure the incorporation of coaching
competencies and skills by mentee-coaches. The group mentor coaching sessions
are designed by Jennifer Powers to support the coaches to master the ICF core
competencies. It includes the rigorous practice of ICF core coaching competencies
to help the coaches master their coaching process and accelerate their
learning.
Feedback sessions are
followed in-between wherein Jennifer Powers will articulate with specific observations
she makes about the mentee’s coaching practices. The feedback is delivered to
the mentees with sensitivity to the impact of the feedback.
Jennifer Powers demonstrates
the ability to self-manage relative to any coaching model preferences and stays
focused on the skills assessment of the mentee during her group mentor coaching
sessions related to the core coaching competencies of the mentees. To book your
