Government tendering system of Bangladesh
Economy of Bangladesh is expanding rapidly. Government expenditure is also rising exponentially. A major portion of government budget are spent through the Annual Development Programme (ADP). Service procurement is also done using manual system. Works & Goods procurement are mostly done by electronic system know as eGP.
Large public sector organisations involved in procurement are LGED, Roads & Highways Department, PWD, Water Development Board, the City Corporations, Education Engineering Department. Power sector organisations like PDB, DESA, DESCO, Rural Electrification Board are also involved in huge procurement activities.
