Every 4th of July, Americans around the world celebrate Independence Day by enjoying hotdogs, hamburgers, and apple pie, watching the colorful fireworks, and even watching movies about the nation’s heroes in the struggle for independence. But since it’s the 21st century, you have many other more creative ways to express your patriotism starting with your beautiful iPhone case.

Make a Statement with Your Case

You take your smartphone almost everywhere - in your home as well as to your office, mall, and playground –so it makes sense that it becomes a vehicle for expressing your personality, dreams, and views. You can then decorate your minimal iPhone case with a patriotic theme, such as the stars and stripes, collage of the Founding Fathers, or appropriate greetings for the holiday, among others. You are making a statement for the day that, hopefully, will not only become your expression of opinion but also become an inspiration for others.

You don’t have to make the décor a permanent thing. You can use stick-on decals on your wool iPhone case for this purpose.

Thank a Veteran or a Soldier

The gains of independence that our ancestors bravely fought for are still being protected by our contemporary veterans and soldiers. You can thank them for their personal sacrifices in defending the nation’s democracy and its people, as well as their valiant efforts in defending democracy in other countries. Even a simple yet sincere note of thanks, perhaps coupled with a small token of thanks like a gift basket of fruits, will show your appreciation for them.

But don’t stop with the veterans and soldiers still alive. You may also send a note of appreciation to the family of a fallen soldier – just be sure to keep your note short yet sincere, perhaps even add a quote from Abraham Lincoln.

Participate in Your Community’s Events

You can be a more active participant in 4th of July festivities instead of being a spectator. You can choose to either be behind the scenes, such as part of the production crew with your talents used in creating a great 4th of July show, or to be front and center, such as a host or a performer. Your participation may be a small part of the nation’s celebration of Independence Day but keep in mind that every contribution to keeping the ideals of democracy alive counts.

Indeed, when you celebrate the 4th of July, you are part of a strong tradition that has endured for more than 200 years!
