I concur that in the past Indian teams could not represent as per their caliber in the various games, but the potential of Indian players could not be undermined, as they shone the brightest with a brand new record to be made under their belt in the Asian games 2018.

The 18th Asian Games 2018 was held in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, where close to 11,000 athletes from 45 countries participated and honor the prestigious game portal.

However, much before the games started, the Indian athletes were under much pressure and had to go through the strenuous performance anxiety. This Asian game was a reality check for the Indian athletes after the Commonwealth Games set the high-performance standards in terms of medals won in the 2014 Asiad with a total of 57, including 11 gold, so the pressure mounted on the athletes was much more than expected.

But were the expectations made???

Of course, the expectations were made with much gusto and enthusiasm, where the athletes made every Indian proud by earning 69 medals – 15 gold, 24 silver, and 30 bronze, which actually is much more than the medal count from 2010 Games in Guangzhou, China.

Something which captured the eye of the entire nation; when India created NEW NATIONAL RECORDS and some of them were registered for the very first time.

“COSCO Team along with entire nation feels the pride to witness this major victory and really do wish that this journey would have many more successful episodes, scaling a new record on the global map.”

A huge round of APPLAUSE for our Star-Performers…

However, this tally of medals could grow much bigger and would not be dwarfed to a specific number only, if the athletes were given the right guidance, resources and the training to meet the challenges set by the international standards of games.

We at Cosco, sincerely feel, that India athletes have that spark and potential to grab the world’s attention by earning the that Yellow Metal in every possible game, but this could only be possible when the right approach is followed and players are set ready for the strong competition structure which is a very much part of every competition across the globe.
