Computer support Houston and IT Consulting Houston
For as many computers there are out there, there are just as many people who have no idea what they are doing with them. As an IT specialist and consultant who deals with a lot of customers' concerns, I can tell you that from experience. Of course, I can't blame them - sometimes a computer can just be a huge pain to deal with, even if it turns out that the solution is actually extremely simple. We at CITOC specialize in IT consulting, computer support, and most importantly, satisfying customers.
Customer support
First, let's keep the lede from being buried and discuss computer support Houston. As customers are our primary focus, we must prioritize our support for them. Our IT support members have three principles that they must follow in order to provide maximum customer satisfaction:
1. Understanding - A customer support representative must be able to understand the customer and their complaints. Without that, no progress can be made, and if you can't understand them, 2. and 3. can never even take place.
2. Patience - Sometimes, a customer may be absolutely insufferable, rude, and frankly, sometimes all too ignorant. It does not matter what kind of attitude you get from the customer however - ultimately, your job does involve you taking a lot of crap and smiling.
3. Good communication skills - Because really, no matter how patient and understanding you can be, you need to be able to communicate thoughts clearly and concisely. The customers are not calling you up for a dandy conversation, after all. The sooner you communicate the fixes to the customer, the sooner they can go back to their computer, and the sooner you can move onto the next customer.
Understanding, patience, and communication must all work in tandem - if you fail one, the call may very well fall apart.
IT consulting
Now, let's discuss IT consulting Houston. Another major component of our company is advising managers of other companies in need of help with IT (people who have problems turning their computers on aren't our only customers, after all!). Specifically, we help to educate managers of these companies to succeed at their business objectives through information technology. Some of the reasons why we are asked to consult companies include:
1. Consulting - Well, obviously. These companies often do not have the best of IT workers or IT plan. We help curb this problem by offering advice and recommendations on how they can improve their services and workers to make their IT situation work better and their IT people more able to deal with their situations.
2. Filling in the gaps - Often times, a company finds itself short of staff or skilled workers. As such, they need help from consulting firms that can fill in the employment gaps.
3. Outsourcing - And sometimes yet, some companies have no interest in having to operate their own IT staff. That's where we come in and essentially carry the load. It can be a bit of hard work sometimes, especially when you work for someone who has no idea how IT even works, but it's always worthwhile in the end for your company.
There are a lot of questions people have to ask about IT. Whether the questions are coming from prospective IT workers, managers who need to get good IT workers for their companies, or customers looking to understand this kind of thing for themselves, all of the questions are important and need answers. At CITOC, we are both ready to answer these questions as well as happy to do so.
