The Grand Prize winner gets $1 million in business grant for minority women. 15 additional teams receive between $15,000 and $250,000. They also receive coaching, workshops on leadership, and marketing opportunities.
Comcast RISE Investment Fund and FedEx Small Business Grant
Launched in 2024, Comcast RISE Investment Fund is open to entrepreneurs in specific target cities. 100 business owners are given grants worth $5,000 each. The annual FedEx Small Business Grant Contest is open to businesses in operation for at least six months, and has fewer than 99 employees. The Grand Prize winner receives $50,000, and nine additional winners receive $20,000 each. National Black MBA Association Scale-Up Pitch Challenge gives $50,000 in grants to the first prize winner, $10,000 to the second prize winner, and $7,500 to the third prize winner.
Certain minority groups are presumed to be socially and economically disadvantaged and can qualify for business grants for minority women program. Individuals who do not belong to these minority groups are also eligible provided they can prove that they have been discriminated against and are economically disadvantaged.
