FarmPally garter Clove oil Nature and Uses
Clove Oil has been known for a long time and it is also popular in most European countries, don't let me be biassed, I doubt there's any part of this world where oil is not popular.
But our focus today is on clove oil which has been extracted even in antiquity, the clove oil was an important remedy and was not only used for its anti-inflammatory effect.
Origin and production of Clove oil
Clove Essential Oil is extracted from the Clove tree (botanical name, Syzygium aromaticum), which belongs to the Myrtle plants and comes from the Moluccas, also known as Maluku islands in Indonesia, i.e. the Spice Islands.
But even in the Middle Ages, the cloves were brought to Europe and the dealers in the Netherlands practically had a monopoly on the trade-in cloves.
Meanwhile, the cloves and the spice clove tree are grown worldwide.
The best quality, however, comes from the Spice Islands, Madagascar, and Zanzibar.
The spice clove tree can be up to 20 metres high, it has grown slender and has leathery leaves.
The dried flower bud is called clove and, due to the similar shape and the similar fragrance, the Carnation also got its name as clove.
Cloves are a very popular spice and are used especially during the cold season.
They are suitable for mulled wine and punch but they are also excellent for frying and baking, healthpally.
A special feature is especially the Clove bud oil, which is almost identical to the clove.
Even in all parts of the Clove tree essential oils, the clove's bud oil is the most expensive and best for its health effect. Also, it hardly has side effects on people.
In order to produce clove oil, the clove tree flowers that develop twice a year are harvested.
The perfect time for harvesting is just before blooming. After the harvest, the buds are dried for about five days, ideally in the sun and it loses about 65 percent of its weight, chaktty advised.
You can extract the oil through water vapor distillation but before you do that, the quality of the oil extracts should be checked.
This is done through the swim test. While high-quality carnations fall, inferior carnations remain on the surface as they hardly contain any oil.
For about 1 litre of oil, six to eight kilograms of carnation flower buds are needed.
However, there is also a distinction between black and reddish-brown carnations.
While the black carnations can only have about 15 percent of essential oils, the red-brown carnations have a content of 19 percent of essential oil which makes them more valuable.
A mature tree can produce about two to four kilograms of dried carnation buds per year.
Of course, there is also a much cheaper oil which is made of stems and leaves but this is not suitable for aromatherapy or for health effects, as the proportion of essential oil is not high enough.
However, when you're buying oil, always endeavour to give attention to a high-quality oil from leaves and stems.
Clove Oil is also an excellent helper to ease the labour of pregnant women. It also fights toothache ( inflammation in the mouth cavity).
Even as an anti-mosquito remedy, it has a unique effect and is therefore also used here in America.
Due to its excellent properties, the clove essential oil should, therefore, be embraced and used in your home more than before because it is an all for many possible applications.
