Thanksgiving's Garlic Mashed Potatoes
What is Thanksgiving without the mashed potatoes?
My family LOVES garlic mashed potatoes and here is the recipe I use the most.
Garlic Mashed Potatoes
1 1/2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled or Red Potatoes, skin on, scrubbed well
2 cups milk
1 cup heavy cream
8 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon Freshly grated nutmeg
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 tablespoon freshly grated Parmesan cheese
small parsley bunch
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
Combine the potatoes, milk, cream and garlic in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer until the potatoes are tender, 20 to 25 minutes. Drain, but SAVE the LIQUID!!
Place the cooked potatoes and garlic to a medium bowl and mash with a fork, or potato masher, adding the nutmeg, olive oil, butter, and Parmesan. Add about half the liquid you saved from cooking, mix well, then add some of the remaining milk liquid as necessary until the potatoes are the consistency you like. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve hot.

I got lucky this year no cooking. I need a break. For almost 21 years it was always Thanksgiving, Christmas, Memorial Day, July4th, and Labor day at my house. It actually made me hate to do the Holiday dinners. This year I'm going to be the invader instead of the invadee for a change!

Ladies and gentlemen, do you know why so many girls are interested in black guys? They handsome? sexy? or ...I feel it is really strange until I joined a ebony club. To tell you the truth, It is just because black guys have something which other guys never have..

Believe me, I will be cooking enough to make anybody sweat for a century or two after this holiday...
Contest Season is in full gear, and I'm going to need some guinea pigs... no, victims... no... experimental subjects.... no dinner guests, that's it, dinners guests! LOL! :)

awww...that is a bummer, all that cooking ability going to no use :(
That sounds scrumptious too, maybe leave out the butter and brown sugar for me... I love squashes without the added sweetness. YUM YUM!!

I'll probably not cook for this year... I've been trying to avoid one of my clients' dinner invitations, and the only way is to get out of town...
Probably Atlantic City and Ceasar's wonderful buffet and great looking gals this year!
Try stuffing baked acorn squash with a combination of mashed Parsnips, Yams and Crunchy bacon bits all mixed together with butter, brown sugar and a tiny bit of Bourbon (Substitute Vanilla extract)... Old fashioned but still 'Da Bomb"! :)

Loving myself and others often starts out with a big bowl of mashed potatoes or pumpkin, make that combined mashed potatoes and pumpkin! :)
I love to carmelize all of my aromatics at low oven temps to bring out all their flavours before I add them to the mashed main ingredients... Nutmeg is a secret and sexy ingredient and so is Allspice... Add a pinch of this to a savory dish and your tastebuds will explode, and don't forget to add a fresh minced beet for astonishing beauty and flavor to g
