Procrastination is something I do exceptionally well. Maybe that is why I have decided to mention it here  on the blog.

If you look  the word up in the Free Dictionary, you'll find:

v.intr.To put off doing something, especially out of habitual carelessness or laziness.

v.tr. To postpone or delay needlessly.

In psychology, procrastination refers to the act of replacing high-priority actions with tasks of low-priority, and thus putting off important tasks to a later time. Some psychologists cite such behaviour as a mechanism of coping  with the anxiety associated with starting or completing any task or decision. Other psychologists indicate that anxiety is just as likely to get people to start working early as late and the focus should be impulsiveness. That is, anxiety will cause people to delay only if they are impulsive. (from Wikipedia)

I would add that it is just wasting of time. Do we have enough time to afford being lazy? I do not think so.

Our life is flying away. There are occasions when we have to sit back, relax and think: "What have I achieved  so far? What could I have done differently? What could I have done and yet have failed to do? " Abraham Lincoln  said: "It's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years«

The other reason why I have decided to write about procrastination are these two videos I am adding to this article. They actually made me think more about what and how I am managing my everyday chores and my life as well.  The first one is:  Eat That Frog:

The second one was made and sent to me by John Assaraf, one of New York Times bestselling authors, entrepreneur and lecturer all over the globe  (http://www.johnassaraf.com/ :

I hope these two videos will push you ahead, especially if you are at a stall or at least at a standstill. You can do a lot of things,do whatever crosses your mind,  just move! If you do not know where to start join a charity, find a good cause to fight for, help someone who needs to be helped.

And, you can check  Club Asteria,  a non Profit Philanthropic Program that has already made miracles, help the club, spread the word and help erase poverty in our world.   https://www.club-asteria.com/howcanihelp.php?refid=27929

Thank you for your time,

Ljerka
