I was born and raised in a rural area in northwestern Ontario and although I now spend most of my time living in urban centres, I will always consider myself a country-boy. That part of my life is such a big part of who I am today. I had the opportunity to start studying French when I was in grade 7 and I didn’t know it then, but it turned out to have a huge impact on my life. I continued to take French classes though to the end of high school and then decided to pursue a language degree.
