In September of 2012 a major online auction site stopped allowing the sale of vintage and high-end spirits much to the chagrin of us classic bourbon afficionados. No longer could one go there and find a 1948 bottle of Very Old Fitzgerald or a favorite regional offering from a craft distiller not available in our area.

Something had to be done about that.
