My good fortune began by being born in Beaverlodge, Alberta, Canada and learning the environmental contrasts of the Rocky Mountains, hunting and fishing in the foothills, and bicycling the prairie areas by lovely streams and wonderful fresh water rivers. I met wolves, bears, moose, while walking alone and lived to tell.

From Alberta a friend inspired my writing and jointly we ventured a wild band of performers into an old school bus in 1973 and traveled across Canada to Newfoundland and back
