Daughter of Dan Burley, famous activist Writer Editor and Chief of Publications within the Black Community Dan was one of the first within the Black Community to develop a hub between the Black and White press in the1940's - 62 in an era when race relations were developing in Harlem and the Nation. Dan was coined as being the Earl of Sugar Hill an area were the most famous black entertainers life.
Dan Burley began as a sports editor for the Chicago Defender Newspaper, then launched a syndicate
