Kibbutz Beit Haemek,
For many, the tallit is often referred to as a prayer shawl. It is one of the most famous iconic symbols of Judaism. People of different religion often misunderstand the purpose of wearing tallit. The principle purpose or importance of wearing a tallit is to serve as the four corners from which to hang the fringes in compliance with the Torah's prescription in the book of Numbers 15:37-40.
