Ads, Ads & More ads... It's almost a joke...

OK, i'm going to step on my soap box for a minute... Buy this! _Buy this Buy this. Buy this.. But this... Buy this_ Buy this ? I don't know about those doing it, but if i had to send the same ad to a dozen groups and only change the title enough to be recognised as a new subject by APsense software... I would feel absolutely desperate & embarrassed... When i open APsense express and there are a dozen "ad posts" in a row, i can't help but laugh, surely a program like APsense is attracting serious (professionally minded) marketers who know better than this type of strategy... For those that don't know, industry stats show that an ad needs around 8 exposures before someone clicks or responds (average)... But thats not 8 viewings in a row... its over time. Of course the problem is, many of us have subscribed to multiple groups and when someone sends an advertisement - they repeat the same thing to multiple groups. The simple and more productive solution here is to Post LESS, but post to a HIGHER niche group. Don't just send your ad to a group because it says "Advertise Free". If you sell Bird seed, look for groups about birds... If you sell Garden Tools, look for groups about Gardening... Be Professional in your approaches and you will receive stronger results.

Hi Eric,

First of all - a "top" and a round of applause for your post.

When I open my ApSense Express and see a series of "buy me" posts - I just delete them without even bothering to read them. Sorry guys - but it has been done to death.

If ApSense content becomes a series of people throwing ads at each other, it loses its value alltogether.

I cant agree with you more that "ad blasting" is ridiculous and a big turn-off. Just because a product is for sale - it doesn't mean that I want to buy

Hello again,
sometimes I have the feeling, that we have here 2 kind of members.
The "Big Gurus", they know all and everything and have to teach the others, which are new in the business and not so experienced.
Sorry, I'm a member of the second group, and I'm thinking still, if there is something to share, so share it the way you like.
Have a great day.
And a look to my website.... lol

This Topic has been covered under a variety of guises on Apsense and many other social marketing sites. I think a lot of us agree that yes you should target your audiance and make it relevant to them, also that you should contribute to the community if you provide useful content then people will see that and be more inclined to click your links or visit your blogs. But lets not forget this is a Social and BUSINESS network and that you do have control of the delete button. If I find a pile of the

I would recommend to those people who engage in the type of activity that you describe Eric, that they download the Apsense Express tool.

Firstly they'd see that it is a highly effective communication tool and secondly they may see how much their activity actually impedes their progress by using that strategy.

I would assert here, that the members who just post and post by cutting and pasting repeats, hoping for multiple hits, do not avail themselves of all the tools available at Apsense and t

Online Professional

I am one of those people who have a successful business solely from SEO and Offline promotions. I target the delivery of my Marketing.

At Social Networking Sites I write articles, participate in discussions, etc.

Chances are Claudia, you would not have seen an advertisement from me... I never (I should say rarely) advertise. I don't remember sending an advert to any group since i have been here (Perhaps 1 or 2, but i can't remember if that was here or at another Social Networking site).

Hi Eric,
in some points you are right, but we are here, tomake new contacts and to push our business too.
If you are a member in the same groups as the author, may be you will see same adds several times.
If I remember this right, so I saw some adds from you too?
Everybody has another way.
We should respect it.
Hav a great day.

Internet Marketer

I have done this Eric but I am certainly not desperate & embarrassed.

The way I see it many of the Apsense members are trying to get exposure to
whatever they are promoting be it a program, blog, product or service etc.

In my opinion if it is done once every few weeks or so it's ok providing
your are following the groups posting rules.

Every group does not have the same members. There may be a lot
in the same group but every group will have someone different and
new members join each group fro
