'Techie' question about AE
Okay,
not sure if this is the right place for this question and sorry if it's not.
How do I stop AE running on all user account on my computer? The computer is shared by all my family and we all have different user accounts (XP) but when anyone else logs on, there comes up a zillion error messages about not being able to run AE.
And (believe it or not!) none of my family are interested in Apsense (shakes head in disbelief).
I thought it would just run on my account, but apparently not. And to be honest, if it opened it wouldn't be so much of a problem because they could just shut it down. But the error messages are the pain. And right now, the only way is to end the process via task manager.
Have I downloaded AE incorrectly? Is there a way to have it just running on my user account on the PC? If not, how come it's not working properly on the other user accounts.
Help! the natives are getting restless. LOL.
thanks.

hi Bj
tried to copy the link but it isn't working. Just says 'http 404 not found'.
which group is it, and I will post it there.
Thanks for the tip david. Will set it on manual for now, but I would like to be able to have it open automatically.

Hi San,
I Have my AE set so it does not auto open. Then you have to manually open it which for me works best. It won't interfere when others log on.
Bill, I did look for San's question where you pointed to but it was not there so gave my answer here.
