DANGER - Security Warning

Not exactly APSense related, but certainly could affect APSense friends. Have you received emails that appear to be from a friend or family member sending you an online greeting card? DANGER! There's a really virulent worm being spread at the moment which apparently is the most widespread and most virulent worm for over a year. It arrives in your email inbox with an email subject line that appears to be a greetings card from a friend, a buddy, a family member, a colleague, a mate, etc etc. If you fall for it and click the link to 'collect' your so called greetings card you're done for, because the worm is then released into your computer. It waits their patiently until it receives a message from its creator instructing it to send emails out from YOUR Address book to unsuspecting friends or colleagues. This spreads the worm further and also spreads a scam email about stocks and shares, which eventually makes money for the scum who initiated it. ~ Karen ~

I get these daily, actually, many daily. I have never opened them b/c the legitmite ones I used to receive ALWAYS had who they were from in them.
It pays to pay attention!
Thanks Karen, for making me feel better about deleting these!

Actually Bob, I have received legitimate greeting cards from family and friends. And since this worm can get into your system and read your contacts, you could receive it from your mother and never suspect a thing. Most of us don't do those IP searches etc... but perhaps we should!

Soji, I did receive the warning from a highly reliable source.

Good topic. I've received also, but I never open this emails before carefully checking them. Apsense express is great tool, no spam, no worms!
Thanks for warning.

I got this one too. I am a bit more fortunate than most lol
I always check to see where it is coming from. I'll do a domain search or an IP lookup. The one I got was from Sweden. Yeah, they sent me a greeting card....right. Thanks for the warning though. I trust no one! who sends emails like that one

I almost got fooled - the only thing that saved me is that I had so many of these emails that I knew it had to be something... um...er... not genuine

Hi Karen,
I have been getting a lot of these for a while now, but
I just delete them.
Doing business with e-cards is probably not a good
idea right now.

Thanks Karen, I had heard about this before, and as a matter of fact, I had an email that I didn't open, in my spam box, and it said, a greeting card from you buddy. But thanks for the great warning.
