My apsense express (again)

I seem to always have trouble with this little darling. It's almost like a wayward child. does what it whats, when it wants.
Anyway, at the moment, each time I turn on my computer, i get an error message saying that 'the parameter is incorrect'. And there are no messages in the express tool.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. This works fine until the computer is switched off. Then when it is turned back on, the little blighter has incorrect parameter settnigs again.
Now, I don't know anything about parameters, I just know that I download it and it works just fine. After shutting down and starting back up, it doesn't.
Is this some kind of problem with the computer or with the download?
Any suggestions gratefully recieved.

well thanks for this folks. Your steps work great Eric. Certainly a lot quicker than uninstalling and reinstalling. HOwever, it is frustrating to say the least.
Thanks for checking it out Thea. I can't really download a different browser as I am currently confined to using son's computer and other than this recent problem with my AE, I have no problems at all.
Guess I will just have to put up with it for now.

Here's what Microsoft has to say about it.....
put the following - "Error Message: The Parameter Is Incorrect" - into a Google search (including the quotation marks).
Perhaps you want to change your browser to Firefox, or other. :)

When this happens,
1. close the error box
2. close the APsense Express box
3. Right click on the APsense icon in your task bar and click "Exit"
4. Go to your Desktop (or wherever you have a link to APsense Express) and re-open the program.
Your messages should arrive within a few seconds.
