I've been checking Facebook ads out for awhile now and I'm hearing a lot of
distressing stories about advertising on Facebook. I'm hearing that its worthless,
its a waste of money and other horror stories. I don't believe any of them because
I don't think its Facebook, I think its the technique people are using. Its my
opinion that small businesses are approaching Facebook ads backwards and all wrong.
For one thing, small business are using the big business example and trying to
apply it to their small business which will never work in Facebook's world.
My Facebook experiment which I intend to conduct in 2 weeks is going to focus on
LOCAL MARKETING, not NATIONAL MARKETING, my theory and test is going to target my
local people and businesses,
I don't expect to use Facebook to get National
attention right now. We need to focus on what's right in front of us thereby saving
heartache, time and mostly money. There are thousands of dollars being left on the
table because small businesses want to reach out NATIONALLY.
Feel free to join me and conduct your own little test, you don't have to break the
bank because this is just a test remember? I suggest you start with your city and
the surrounding area's. Facebook gives us all the Requirments we need to laser
target our audiences.
Pay close attention to your demographics, age and gender
groups and so on. I believe this technique is untapped by small business, and I
also believe you'll be pleasantly surprised with the results.
Stop by my Facebook business page, you should have one too and if you don't, why
not? I'm not here to play games, I'm here to produce. Our local markets are waiting for us to get a clue and show up. If you're not where they are they're wondering why.
