1. Reliable hardware parts > i.e Made in Japan, US, Holland, Germany etc
2. What kind of system configuration you use> RAM, HD (Seagate, Quantum 7200 rpm, 250GB+), Video Memory, Graphic Card, Lan etc ... Motherboard type
3. What system do use Windows, Linux etc ...
4. How often do you perform system maintenance
5. System load > How many processes and services are running at start-up ...
It depends on the user. I am sure everyone have their likes and dislikes because they may like a certain brand over any other. If one brand works for me, it may not be a good fit for someone else. I have used a lot of brands and the brand I am currently using is my favorite.
The only three brands I've used in terms of laptops, are HP, Toshiba and Dell and I can categorically tell you that the phrase "Dell Hell" is a very apropos phrase, which, by the way, is also the title of blog post from a very prominent blogger in this category. I owned my last HP 6 1/2 years ago and than switched to Dell thinking is was gonna be somewhat decent judging by the price, but I've found that my cheaper Toshiba actually works much better than 100% of the Dells I've ever owned when yo
