What a great idea Warren.... Knowing about money is important at all ages. Learning about it while your are young is a wonderful first step to be able to manage it when older.
The sad thing is, many parents do not have the first clue about money... so it would be very hard for them to teach their children about money.
@Warren, I don't think so. They realize that the money they're playing with isn't real but to start thinking of how to accumulate property, making decisions about buying utilities, hotels and collecting rents are part of the real estate business.
Rather than a game, I set up a paid to click account and gave my grandson the logon. All the money he earns I give to him, so in the sixth grade he is pocketing $30 a month and KNOWS what it's like to have his own money.
