Not sure about the BEST... I would think that would vary for each person...
But the first thing to have is the right attitude and mind set....
Without those you will certainly have a very hard struggle...
It is just like the person who is trying to quite smoking.... The smoker can not possible quite smoking if they are doing it because someone else wants them to quit.. They will never succeed UNTIL.. they want to do it for themselves....
