Cheri, thanks for your response. I can only answer your questions as far as what I do maybe others can help clear things up better.
I promote through hundreds of sources in a short period of time to see what happens over a month or so. My sources have been proven to make money over the last few years. If it fails or has a weak response then I'll leave it and move on.

Sometimes people promote things until they loose all hope. How long before you give up promoting something? What motivates you to jump the next thing?
I hope you guys don't mind me jumping in on this question, I think it is a good one. Too many people promote products, programs and the next big thing.
What about promoting yourself. You will always be you. Then instead of
promoting you recommend or review.

Robert, thank you for your detailed analysis on promoting offers. The one thing though that I have some trouble with is the small amount of demand. I have over the last 2 years learned to capitalize on niches that have less than 100 monthly keywords targets. I'm the only one in many cases targeting such traffic and it's quick/easy to do.
Instead of doing my usual 1,500+ keyword targets and spending a week on getting the site up and running correctly, I do 20 smaller sites in this time. I can
Supply and demand. I look for a niche's need and find a specific service or program that would offers legitimate value for them. When demand becomes less I focus on the niche's next needs while maintaining an ongoing relationship with them. It doesn't make sense to me to promote a program for which their is only a small amount of demand, unless the return on that time investment is worth the effort financially.
Philippe & Joe, you both are right until you hit 100% in sales there is always room for improvement. I use to (& still do) ask potential customers why they didn't buy the item, the feed back was incredibly useful to my increased sales.
It's all about the tracking, the testing, the tweaking, and repeating the process until the offer is producing the desired results. I too, believe you should promote things that are already proving to be of value to you personally. You will know the program well enough to provide assistance when your referrals require it. :-)
Sometimes it's a matter of tweaking the ads, it happened to me in spring of 2011, I was heavily promoting a PTC site, I didn't get too many results at first, then I changed my ad here and there, and after 2 weeks, it started to work. But I'm not into PTCs anymore
Yeah, you know what that is what burns me! At the begining of the year I had 3 big goals and I only made 1 of the 3. One was to help 1,000 people make decent money and I thought this was the easiest to do, I got 18.
These "cockroaches" that start no good programs hurts everyone. I did receive 7,000 people that said they wanted to try but they are so use to being burnt they only want to buy from me and not do. They are use to things not working and throwing their money away. They seem to only be
I have promoted some very bad programs, even invested $$$$$ in them to wind up canceling because they did not fulfill what they said they could do (plus I never got paid) thats why I'm doing what I'm doing now....

Harry, you are wise to not put all your eggs in one basket. Alot of people lost a lot of money recently by doing that.
You say you promote to hundreds of sources over a short period of time, so I am wondering if you use the same sources month after month?
You would almost have to in order to measure the success of an offer.
Just sayin!

Lovelli, that is very interesting how you go about it. You take a stock market (investment approach) while most everyone else is instant oatmeal.
