Well, to be frank, all the features you have listed about Blog Beast are also available on the Wordpress platform with the appropriate plugins and themes (either free or paid). So why would anyone pay $25 a month for a blogging platform?

And why do you say open source is a "waste of time"? Open source is the very foundation of the internet itself.

Wordpress: it's far easier to manage than Joomla or Drupal (or almost any other CMS) but still gives enough flexibility to do almost anything. The others have a comparatively steep learning curve, which always makes them second choice.

"Blog Beast" is my favorite easy to use and easier to rank pages than wordpress. My opinion blows wordpress out of the water.

nice wordpress is winning lol i know why it has some really good plugins and is very simple to make any site with : ) also you can use buddypress too with wordpress i am quite fond of get-simple for smaller sites so easy to make sites with it i always recommend to my clients who are running small sites etc

With all the cool plugins and themes available, WordPress takes the cake. However, I personally prefer good old "static" html and "dynamic" php sites.

nice choice lol i forgot to mention mine hmm ^_^ i like all of them lol ! joomla is confusing but i can use it but do not recommend it, i would say get-simple is very easy and good for simple sites, buddypress is quite good it is a wordpress social cms
