Cut backs by politicians while pocketing side deals have me furious about the greed over caring about each other. I sympathize with the families of the victims those who have lost their Little & Loved ones! Being a mother I can feel their pain.At the same time I think it has got very less to do with having both the parents working.Yes, what I feel strongly as an educational counselor that regular counseling is required for both the children and the parents (on mandatory basis),security tightening in schools may not solve the problem.Let God give the families enough strength to bear the loss and thepain.
I agree with increasing security around schools. Currently they lack that. And kids lack attention from their parents because usually both parents are working. It is a sad economy.
They are sick people.. never realizing what they are doing.. they should be killed in full public. How can they kill an innocent children .... Total 8 (including this one) incidents this year where some sick people opened fire in public ... The govt. should increase security specially in and around schools...
Chuck, I agree that's a part of the problem as well. However, society has pushed us into an economy that requires both parents' income to support a family. For some, even with 2 income is not enough and sadly, this is the case for the majority of the population.
If we really step back and realize society has promoted deterioration of the family unit and the emphasis of not being responsible for actions. Until values are again made important will some of this behaviour be reduced.
I think putting some security around each campus is important. Today as I drove around L.A. there were so many cops out, one at every other street. That's the way it should be. On other days, I see a campus of children getting out but no officers or security around. Most of the criminals prowl around school campuses stalking our children who are so vulnerable. Early this morning in Lancaster, a 14 year old girl was sexually assaulted on her way to school. We shouldn't allow these criminals
