2. Seek out others with similar interests
3. Join groups with similar interests and actively participate with questions and answers
4. Don't just try to sell something. Provide something of value for nothing, such as knowledge.

Upload your profile pic and take some time to fill out your profile making sure you put your url in the right box.So many people join and do not do not upload there profile pic then wonder why they are not getting any exposure to them.
If there is a chat area pop in and say hi get exposure to you then people will start to look at your website.

1. Why? 2. Run. 3. Visit Apsense 4. Take a html course. Other than mindless blather I don't see nor appreciate the social media venues, excepting for here and I don't really think of here as a Social Site anymore than I think the Warrior Forum is a Social Media place, as neither of them really are.

1. - Identify yourself, let them know about your background. Don't pretend. Be true.
2. - Know the people in the social circle. Read their articles. See if they are reliable. Know the business they promote. You can always ask other people in the network.
3. - Be smart. Don't believe everything you see. Learn from the experts.

1-Be yourself and NEVER lie. If you are always honest you won't have any problems remembering what you said.
2-Avoid promoting anything that will be easily recognized as a scam and destroy your reputation.
3-Be pro-active and help as many people as you can.

Don’t look for short-cuts
Don’t be tempted by easy quick-fix solutions to build community, they don’t work & will actually hurt your efforts.

Engage
Don’t wait for people to come to you, go to them & talk to them.

Research
Find out where your audience is, what they’re talking about; find the need & fill it
