You made my day Tom, the whole point in sharing these ideas is to get at least one person to venture outside their comfort zone and see it's really not that bad.
Tom, you don't need WP, so it eliminates the problem with Hackers crashing your party. All you do when you finish the webpage is upload it into a folder on your web hosting account. I have a video that shows how at https://youtu.be/JSkVSVli-uE
That would be a question for Warren.... but I would think that you would take the HTML and just paste it there in the edit mode.... as if by magic it is there... NO?
WOW, now my head is spinning, I was going to suggest adding the plug in for google fonts. Now I have some new things to check out. I did make a webpage with notepad++ but couldn't figure out how to get it onto WP.
Thanks Warren.. You know I like simple..... Seamonkey sounds a bit much for this little pea brain of mine... I can do many things but I need simple for this stuff!
Seamonkey and Komposer are both Mozilla products and the main difference is Komposer is focused on the problem you are looking to solve and Seamonkey is broader in scope.
Thanks Jane.... I think that Kompozer will work.. I was doing other things to day but I am going to give that a go in the next few days here.
I appreciate your input.... Will check it out if Kompozer does not work out for me... Cindy
Cindy, you can also use "Seamonkey" browser from Mozilla, and is kept up to date.
It has "Composer", I use to create or modify pages or templates.
Also, can check mail, newsgroups, etc, address book, and of course a browser.
Warren I remember now about NotePad++ It didn't do what I wanted it to do.
In my Outlook I was able to create a page just as I wanted it to appear and then all I did was click source and as if by magic.... The HTML was there.
I don't want to start with HTML code
I do what your doing inside my cpanel..
But that for trying to help Silly Cindy
Let's backup a step, what made you feel lost? Did you get the program opened and could you type in anything? Here's a YouTube video I made that might shine a little light on the dark spots https://youtu.be/Nr2qTMrxYpI
I tried that notepad++ I was lost.. I use to create all that stuff in my outlook express.. I know I know Silly Cindy.. But now that I have my new computer that is not there anymore.
So I have been Winging it....
The point I was trying to make Cindy, is Programming is not nearly as hard as most people think it is. If you can use Notepad++ you can easily take a template (like the one you just edited) and create your own web pages from scratch. It's like the guy that built an amazing Leggo structure, but it was much easier when you think he did it one small piece at a time.
