Windows 8 is hands down the best operating system. People can say to wait all they like, its all but a fact that windows 8 is better.

Microsoft doesn't put out a new version of windows that is worse than the old version (except in the case of 98 to ME). ME to XP was a huge improvement, XP to Vista was a huge improvement, Vista to windows 7 was a huge improvement.... and its not like windows 8 is "the new" operating system.... well it is but its different than in times past.

I think you should wait a few months for all the bugs and flaws in window 8 and then get it.

@Paul Peeters: I've used the Windows 8 beta for a long time.It is good.the problem is, many of the old software is not compatible.
I still use dual boot windows8 and windows 7.

I have always, and I am talking from many years of experience on pc's, )from the very first little and slow XT machines on 4,77 MHz I have been using pc's in business and thus have been able to follow and use literally ALL consecutive versions of Windows - in the beginning even still used MS-DOS ! wow, where did the time go ?! lol - and I have seen the same event happen with ALL versions of Windows :
when a new version is released, there are always a LOT of bugs, big and small, and this phenomen

They both do the same job, so it depends on your budget and how new your hardware is. If you have an older computer and it's working fine, I wouldn't take a chance on upgrading to Windows 8. If I were buying a new computer, then I would use it.
