Hi Levi, I am no SEO but I think the best way to learn SEO is by application. If you don't have a website to SEO start of by making a blog hosted by third party sites such as wordpress.com or blogspot.com. However if you can afford, I have a friend Jeff who is offering only 3USD per month for domain and hosting which means with 3USD per month, you can have your own site such as yourname.com or yourname.net. Please PM me if you are willing to invest for 3USD per month.
