How much do you spend monthly with marketing or marketing tools?

Warren, I have a membership site that has a few thousand members and as crazy as it sounds they count on me to filter through the muck what is funny is I use them to filter it for me! I belong to the middle of the pack of mini guru group that cost me around $400 a month membership which all they're mostly interested in is creating shiny objects and pyramids so I get dibs on a ton of stuff for free...but there is a website that has limited membership each year that is free that I have to find but

@Mile I have had a few of those too, but with new connections it takes some success with one of their products to get the door open in most cases.

Warren, one day I will share with you how to get those shiny objects guys to share with you for free. They always need testers...

We have always set up "marketing" as a percentage of expected and real sales. But it also varies depending on the market of each business.
Some of them do very well with constant communication with repeat customers and we offer them substantial discounts through e-mail marketing (which costs a relatively small % of sales) This morning we just broadcast an update for one site, offered a discount and had so far, a 24% sales conversion of opens.
other Companies have niches that demand a more focuse

I have monthly expenses for Internet access and hosting, but I also spend plenty on new tools like scripts, WSO's, plugins, or any shinny object that catches my eye and passes all the litmus tests to squeeze into my wallet and grab a few bucks. Most of them have the potential to pay me back with a little profit very quickly or they don't get my money in the first place.

$100 every month ,no money

to much to tell.....

When I first started I spent $100/month.
Now that I am established, I keep my monthly expenses under $25.

Proof, it can be done.

$10 for the website and $10 for the autoresponder some times paying for ads.. ^_^

Thomas, yeah it is hard to do but it can be done though...the thing is that it may not be worth it with the time needed and trial/error.

TE's and free ad sites do not work well for me.

Thomas, so you create your own products and use PPC? What other methods have you used that may not have worked out as well?

Proportionate to my earnings, the more I earn, the more I spend, most in PPC advertising. That's what works best for my products.

Mike, good for you and how easy is it to do?

Almost nothing as i create the toolz myself !
