You're naive. The Chinese gov't controls it there. Facebook and other social media are illegal in many countries - its their way to control the bad news as it tries to get out of their borders. The US gov't has been trying to control the internet here for quite some time now. It's going to happen as there are too many low information voters out there who like to be told what Victims they are, and that the big gov't is gonna take good care of them..
Since it is a peer-to-peer operation, so a transaction between two individuals using the internet, the only way would be to shut down the internet. And I don't think that's gonna happen...
