You don't need any additional programs. if you print screen and then PASTE into MS Paint, which is a windows program that comes with your operating system, you can resize and edit anything you see on your screen. You have to use an image editor and paste the print screen or you will never get it to work..
Screen Hunter adds flexibility to the process. The best example is, there is a setting to save each screenshot in a file automatically, different file each time, name chosen by Screen Hunter. You choose the directory to deposit the files. I use that feature when watching a highly informative webinar.
The PrintScreen (PrtScn) on the keyboard works well, but then you need to open the doc where you want to print the screenshot to. Once open, press Control (Ctrl) V, to paste the screenshot. I find this works for me.
After you use the Print Screen function, you still need to paste the image into a graphics program (Paint is free) and save it, then you can post the picture online. I use Linux, so I Print Screen and save it, then open it with Gimp (a free program).
I use Screen Hunter, it's free, I did a video about it. Some people simply use the print screen option that comes with Windows, but I prefer Screen Hunter.
