Can someone tell me how to take a picture of my screen?

the whole page but you can equally edit it too.

@Nnadi. does it allow for partial screen shots... like capture a particular graphic and/or the whole page?

i will say it's as simple as abcd, just from the comfort of your keyboard, click the print screen button always situated by the right hand corner of every computer keyboard and the screen or interface will be automatically captured.

Not when it comes to making quick and easy screen capture slide show video produdtions

other than the normal win application there are many softwares who can do the same work

press the Print Screen Button on ur keyboard to get ur screen image then open paint brush paste it ,screen image will come

thanks Jody its great to be able to share resources. Ive had people tell me to use snagit... but I created the same work using Jing and Open Office and created a template for reproduction.

FastOne Capture is an awesome application. been using it for years. didn't see anyone mention it so here is my contribution

right know I have been using JING very simple to use you can capture the screen shot and upload to the computer if I remember right.

@Phillipe Yes I agree screenr is another great free tool to use for creating screencast videos... but I guess snagit would be the best of all... without buying into camtasia.
You add a good point. Yet for screen capture Jing is quick and easy to use..I've made templates in my presentation folders using this tool.

I use Screen Hunter, it's free, I did a video about it. Some people simply use the print screen option that comes with Windows, but I prefer Screen Hunter.

1. Press Print Screen from your KeyBoard.
2. Press Ctrl+V (i.e.paste) on Paint. (Location of Microsoft Paint = Start + All programs + Accessories + Paint)

Trev, I used to use Jing for screencast videos, I changed for screenr.com it's easier, nothing to download, gives better results and free too.

I am using Snipping Tool built in Win OS. Just search for "Snipping Tool" in your Windows and make a shortcut for easy use (is in Vista and 7, not sure about XP)

Steph is quite right...Jing is an awesome free software that allows you to take screen captures from anywhere on you viewed page...its big brother is Snagit a pro version with more features but I only use Jing so far. Whole Screen,Part Screen, You control what you want to capture. Have Fun!

Snagit is an awesome tool,but download Jing this does virtually the same as snagit but its FREE!!

Just click Print Screen SysRq on keyboard and paste in windows paint or any program you like. Good luck.
