Are you a professional writer?

To be a professional would mean I get paid to write, but I don't. I get paid to refer. Often I need to write to refer - but being as how its not direct pay for writing I cannot consider myself a professional writer.

Professional writer, probably not.
I am a published author. Have written several technical publications. Have been paid for articles and technical publications.
Wife has written and published 5 books with sales in North America and Europe.

I understand how you feel ... I feel the me. I wrote a short story once and have to find it. I posted on a website and this person came back to me and gave me a compliment on my writing and how he could feel the character's feelings.

I felt overwhelmed and this has a source of passion to drive me to make people feel the connection. I feel it's important and not to loose sight of the story or setting.

My inspiration comes from two sources I guess...one I had to learn to meditate but nothing worked for me until I looked at every inch of large trees in my yard. I began looking at every curve, branch, leaf that I could see and this took me off into a deep meditative state.

The inspiration came in when I started as you looking at everything in deep ways...a spark would happen then

Funny you should ask that because there's no particular explanation. I could be driving and see and object and make a story out of it. Ideas mostly flow late at night. I'll grab a note pad or mostly my phone and write it down.

Yes I am a professional writer. I've published two books to date and write short stories.
I enjoy what I do. I have now branched out running workshops on creative writing and other subjects.
