Conventional Process and Characteristics of Intermediate Frequency Induction Furnace

A medium frequency induction melting furnace is a traditional metal
material melting furnace. It is widely used in many rolling mills. As a
relatively advanced melting furnace, the medium frequency induction melting
furnace has many advantages.
Advantages of Medium Frequency Induction Melting
Furnace
1. Using the principle of electromagnetic induction to make the body
of the furnace heat, so the heat is fast, the melting cycle is short, and the
thermal efficiency is high;
2. The heating energy is clean, there is no large amount of flame
and gas released during the heating process, the pollution is small, and the
investment in environmental protection equipment is reduced;
3. Due to the development of electronic technology, the frequency
conversion equipment has become smaller, lighter, easier to control, and easier
to control the power of the smelting process or implement the automation of the
smelting process;
4. It is convenient to change the types of smelted metal materials,
especially suitable for casting units with small batches and many varieties of
products;
Due to the good properties of the equipment mentioned above, it is
widely used in foundry production.
Process Properties of Medium Frequency Induction
Melting Furnace
Since the molten metal is under strong electromagnetic stirring
throughout the smelting process, the composition uniformity at the endpoint is
high, the macro-segregation is small, and it is easy to float up various
inclusions, and a material with a relatively pure matrix and a relatively
uniform composition can be obtained. But also due to the good dynamic
conditions, the atmospheric components are easily soluble in the molten metal,
causing harm to some metals;
Due to factors such as furnace conditions, it is not suitable for
large-scale decarburization, desulfurization, and dephosphorization operations,
which limits the source of smelting raw materials;
Since the heating element is the metal charge to be smelted, and the
furnace mouth is a large heat dissipation channel, it is difficult to form
slag, and the slag temperature is always much lower than the steel temperature.
It is quite difficult to produce slag with certain alkalinity according to a
conservative process.
At present, the medium frequency induction melting furnace is widely
used in the steel industry due to its unique advantages. If you have any
